The mountains struck me with awe. The way the light fell upon the high-points of the terrain sparkled in energetic and mysterious ways, somehow gifting the sunlight to me while the crevices absorbed its light for use beneath the surface. Together they created the sensation of a giant caress - allowing me to fold inward, whilst it infused a deep love into my soul.

The water carried a message of movement. A journey. Our lives all hold a different story, which is expressed uniquely, one from the other. This ability to hold story whilst still weaving a pathway into the next curve, into the unknown, is a reflection of our own capacity to do so. Some times are a little turbulent as we navigate a rocky terrain but working through this leads to glassy smooth moments, when we can take the time to reflect upon our successes and the abundance of love in our lives.

I find my inspiration from the beautiful, vastly changing aspects of the landscapes I am immersed in. And I can’t help but allow it to reflect in my paintings - its energy resides deep in my soul and I hope to pass the majestic essence of the land into my work so that it can be a reminder to all, of the magnificence of the nature we live in, and of the nature that lives within us.
